Disassociative fairytale (half asleep)

Saying "It's alright" is all very well and good, but not when they're saying it. They're waiting to strike. I can see their red eyes glimmering in the dark. They have such reptilian skin and huge, angry claws and where'd the floor go?
Oh God I'm falling I'm falling this is just like House of Leaves I'm falling and there are other people around me and they're falling, too. Only, now I've been dropped into the palm of some giant hand and they haven't, they're still falling, And now I'm a Lego figurine and other Lego figurinepeople are falling onto this palm, only they're bouncing off. And I'm just lying there going..."Oh."

And now there's a man chewing two Excedrin and he's walking into a dining room. He sits on the edge of a table all set with a white tablecloth and crystal so clear that if it weren't shiny if would be invisible, He's sitting on its edge talking to someone I can only sort of see.
She's wearing a pretty white dress. Lacy. And she's swept the tablecloth off the table with him on it and he's turned into a giant china doll with a shocked expression on its face which shatters as it hits the ground.

Wake up.
